Hello CasperLabs community, here is a summary of the weekly CasperLabs Governance/Update call
Engineering Status
- Node 0.8 released on 10th October 2019, release available on Github.
- Clarity explorer has also been updated with the latest code.
- Node 0.8 release announcement coming after the Crypto-invest submit.
- The team is advancing towards the next major milestone which is the public test net.
- Currently driving towards the implementation of Highway protocol which was demo’ed at DEVCON5
- The focus for the next couple of weeks would be on testing and stabilizing the network.
- Continuing validator outreach with Node testing session on Thursdays by 8 AM PDT (UTC -7)
Update on Asia/US tour
- We signed an MOU with HDAC in July this year.
- We’ll be collaborating on business deals and market penetration
- The synergistic partnership would help increase awareness of CasperLabs in Asia
- We’ll also be collaborating on the technical details around the implementation of the partnership.
- We received positive feedback from the community at DEVCON5 and would be providing more samples code and sample environments as well as details around features on the product.
- GraphQL Hackathon kicked off at LA Blockchain week with a 1 bitcoin prize for any team that can demonstrate a GraphQL application using the CasperLabs blockchain.
- Medha would be presenting the Highway protocol at the San Francisco blockchain week later this month.
