Update Summary

On this call, Medha talks about the Charlie testnet, the goal of this testnet is to create a 5-node network using the Rust node. The team has entered into the second weekly sprint of the 0.20.1 release cycle (Sprint 6.2), In this release cycle, we are focusing on doing design and specification work for some crucial features like ‘State Pruning & Garbage Collection’, ‘Unification of Accounts and Contracts’ and ‘Payments 2.0’ which will enable several additional use-cases. We’re investigating Gas Futures and writing preliminary specs for gas price stabilization mechanisms.
