In case you missed it, here is a bulletin summary from the governance/update for the call on 5th November 2019.

Development update

  • The team was at San Francisco Blockchain Blockchain Week and presented the Highway protocol. Michael Birch also presented a demo game and talked through dApp development on the CasperLabs blockchain.
  • The team has started sprint 23 with test-net release planned for January
  • The testnet would have a partial implementation of Casperlab’s Highway protocol with slashing.
  • A detailed plan for the completion of the Highway protocol is also being worked on.
  • We are having a very good conversation with prospective startups. We’ve had 7 discussions with these startups to understand what they need on the platform so we’ll be able to build a feature-rich platform that would spur adoption for real-world businesses.
  • Node 0.9 would be released on November 7th.
  • Node 0.9 comes with stability and performance for Devnet.
  • This release also now requires payment for Contract execution
  • Work is being done to complete as much automation as possible to spin up infrastructure (Terraform) install nodes (Ansible).

Team and Company Update

  • Work is being done on the 2020 roadmap/hiring plan
  • We’ve got a Rust developer joining us on December 1st
  • We also added a new member to the team joining us from Zug, Switzerland.
  • We’re also getting close to offering stage on hiring some candidates for Project Manager (Developer engagement) and Web developer.
